Founded in 1990 with a basic core business of supplying quality components to the starter and alternator manufacturing industry. METCO’s quality program became ISO certified in 1997, a designation proudly maintained today. Seeking to service customers to a level not commonly available, METCO began proprietary assembly, manufacturing and sourcing of components required by those customers that couldn’t live with the “standard” off the shelf quality. The business model developed organically and through acquisitions. METCO expanded its portfolio to include DC Motors for many industries and applications, Starter Drives, Starter Solenoids, Work Solenoids, Sintered Bronze, Stamped/Rolled Bushings, Steel Stampings, Wound springs, Carbon Brushes, Alternator Fans, Axial Fans for the wind power industry.
